I set off on an adventure I love to call Destination: Self. I have this longing to wander within to get a different perspective of Me.

I’ve heard a lot of versions that tried to tell me who I am - from all kinds of standards to cultures, perceptions, beliefs and even small talks. I wondered how it is to see Me as Myself... from within.

Guided by the light within me, I journeyed on. Each day I got to discover different places within myself. I got to witness every beauty and flaw. I saw how it was built as well as how some parts of it already needed to be repaired. I had to stay in all these places to understand and finetune them.

Pillars Of Security

First, I saw my Pillars of Security. They had somehow gotten off-centered, slanted and weak. I had to stop for a while and do the work to align the foundations so I can be stable and secured. I did breath works and meditations to ground me so I may feel supported, nurtured and protected.

When I feel centered and balanced, I head on to see another place within me.

Camp Passion And Will

I stopped at Camp Passion and Will. I also met the Captain of the Camp. I could say she’s a strong woman with a lot of dreams and desires.

As I stayed and camped, I got to know her more. I can tell she had somehow given up her power through the choices she made.

I asked her why she lets the fire in the camp flicker. She said that more often she feeds it with blocks of doubts, fears and indecision.

I told her it’s good to burn those blocks but we have to fuel the fire with trust, courage and the power to say no when we want to.

It was easier said than done but we both tried to work on our willpower by committing to a daily morning practice to strengthen our core.

As we consistently did it, we felt that we are burning more of those blocks, fueling our fire and empowering ourselves to make choices that really honor our dreams and desires. We celebrated by dancing our hearts out like no one is watching. It was totally liberating!

Moving forward drawing inspiration from what I have seen, done and learned, I rested at the Heart Lounge.

Heart Lounge

I love the vibrant pink and green color theme of the Heart Lounge. I can feel the place bursting with love and good vibrations.

As I was resting, I noticed a small chamber from a dark corner of the lounge so I walked towards it. I couldn’t open it because it was blocked with unspoken hurts, unattended emotions and harbored pains. Dust and cobwebs of confusion filled this small unnoticeable chamber.

I had to muster the courage to walk into this eerie and daunting chamber. Carrying my light, I boldly walked through it to clear and open all the emotions that are hidden in this chamber.

It was physically and energetically tasking but I’m glad and grateful I went through it. I was able to sort my feelings into forgive, forget and move forward boxes. Thanked and threw what’s no longer needed and kept what sparked joy.

The Heart Lounge is more beautiful than ever. Ready to give and receive compassionately. It feels peaceful. It feels like home.

A Passage And A Pulpit

Above the Heart Lounge was a passage that led to a pulpit. I asked the lady standing at the pulpit why she seemed to be hesitant to speak. I learned that she was trying but she thought listening would make her more of a better friend, daughter, mother and wife. She was scared her words might be misinterpreted.

I told her that if she ever feels insecure of her thoughts and words, she is grounded through the Pillars. I had to remind her about the light and fire from the Camp. She is powered by the Heart Lounge. She can always speak with compassion and that she will be heard and loved for her truth.

Subconscious Crevices

Heading on to my journey, I found crevices in my subconscious mind that didn’t want to be explored.

I had to flow through them to know what’s hidden inside because it is my journey’s mission to explore every place and passage within myself so light can continually flow through them.

All the places that I found that now bear stability, passion, strength, love and the power to communicate with my subconscious have enabled me to find the Crevices of Lack, Not Being Enough, Not Doing Enough, Not Having Enough.

It all cleared as light flowed through them. It all floated on the surface and washed on with love, light and wisdom that I have found within me and the guidance that I implored throughout this journey.

Pathways of Connection

This was quite an adventure! When I thought I’ve been around all the places within me, I found Pathways that directly connected my hand, heart and mind to the world. These are the pathways for giving and receiving, for holding and releasing, for hanging on and letting go.

External energies pass through it. Some leave immediately, some rest for a while and others stay for good.

I learned that whenever I give, receive, hold, release, hang on or let go, I should bless all the energies that pass by, clear all the negative energies and bless it with positive ones so that it may work for the highest and greatest good of everyone. Such is the significance of this Pathway of Connection.

SELF: Where Journey and the Destination Count

I set off to understand who I truly am. I found all these places of weakness and strength, of love and pain, of struggles and hopes by going within.

Throughout my journey, I brought my light and it did illuminate my way. I finally met the real Me based on my own perception and definition. I finally found what I was looking for - MY SELF, my authentic self, the one whose riches is my wisdom, my joy and my service.

The light within me guided me home and this light will shine even brighter to guide my way forward.
